Healthy Weight Club








Launched in conjunction with the Wellness The Organic Way center, the Healthy Weight Club is a group oriented obesity prevention program designed to provide you with the education, guidance, and support to reach and then permanently maintain your healthy weight.


The Healthy Weight Club will meet twice a month for roughly an hour. The first thirty minutes will be a prepared educational talk, while the last 30 minutes will be an open forum / discussion period. The objectives will be:


·        Professional guidance

·        Group support

·        Relationship building between people struggling with the same problems

·        Motivation

·        Education

·        Optional weigh-in's / weight loss guidance and support  

·        Discuss and keep abreast of the latest trends, fads, gimmicks, diets, research, and studies relating to healthy eating and nutrition


Examples of educational topics will include, but not be limited to, the following:


 Introduction / Nutrition's Role in Good Health


 Nutrition 101 – The Basics

Carbohydrates, proteins and fats: What they are, what they do, and why we need them.


Understanding Nutrition Labels

You can't make healthy food choices if you don't know what they look like.
